This weekend was was the 2007 Reno River Fest. It was just past the casinos in downtown Reno on the Truckee River. It has become a good place to white water kayak. So the River Fest kicks off the summer months with kayak races. Most of the competitors were from around the country.
We headed out on Saturday to see what the fuss was all about.
Avery enjoyed her outing in the backpack. It was not like festivals in the Austin area with local vendors. It was mainly companies selling kayak gear. We did find one artist. He was glad to here we were from Austin because he is wanting to move there for the art community.
