Wine Walk in Reno

On the 3rd Saturday of every month, Reno has a Wine Walk. You pay $15 to get a wine glass. Then off you go with your map to different shops and bars around town close to the river. Erin and Alex went last month and had a blast, so I decided to join them this time.

Erin took us to the cute little place called Voila! for lunch. We met up with Kim and her daughter, Lindsay.

We then headed to the Wine Walk. Erin and Alex learned that if you start off at the art gallery, then you can pick a cool painted wine glasses. Here we are ready to hit the road for some wine.

Here we are with Margaret, Alex's sister, at a bar. You must finish your "taste" of wine before leaving each stop. They only fill your glass with a little wine. Some of it was good, but some of it was nasty wine.

One thing I have learned since we have been here in Reno is the wind can be pretty bad. We came out of one store and we couldn't help the feeling of flying away.

This is Mike, Margaret's boyfriend. He enjoyed hanging with a new woman in one store.

Erin and Alex couldn't wait to show us the gay bar that was a wine stop. Boy was that an eye opener. Here are the girls posing at the bar.
As we were heading back to our car, we saw the 'Chalk the Walk'. It is in the City Plaza. People are encourged to create murals with a wild west theme since the Rodeo is going on. Isn't this one amazing?
