3 Big Storms

Well, most of you know that the West Coast was hit by 3 big storms. Friday we had rain and 65 mph winds. If that doesn't make for hard rain. We got almost 2 inches. For around here...that was the most they have gotten in one day in a LONG time. For us Texans, it was nothing. Around 4:30 on Friday, the rain turned into snow. Avery and I sat on the couch and just watched the big snowflakes fall. She kept yelling snow. By Saturday morning, we had about 8 inches at our house. The whole family set out to have a snow day. We tried to slide down the golf course but got kicked off. Avery didn't care she just wanted to dig, eat and sit in the snow. She loved it. Jessie was exhausted from running in the deep snow. We played outside for 2 hours. The sun was out so it felt pretty warm. We had a few more snow showers later in the day and overnight. I would say our total came to about a foot of snow. Sunday we found a hill in the neighborhood and went sleding. Avery liked it until she got snow in her face on the way down. We borrowed Erin and Dan's snow shovel to clear the driveway so Kyle could go to work the next day. It takes some energy to get that done. Kyle did most of it...I only helped in the end when he was tired.

Hey - I haven't been on in a few weeks. It looks like you guys had a great Christmas. We too felt the west coast storm but we just got rain. Big Bear got 5 feet of snow two days after we left :(.
