We went to the RE/MAX Ballunar Festival at NASA on Saturday. We knew it wouldn’t compare to The Great Reno Balloon Race but we wanted to go and check it out. NASA was also having an open house but we passed on that. We headed straight to the ticket line so Avery could go on the bounce slide.
We had to enjoy a snowcone!
While waiting for the Balloon Lift Off, we saw some skydivers and more.
Kendall even enjoyed watching.
Avery got some bunny ears.
Kendall liked them too.
We kept waiting to see the balloon crews drive in to the field but only one did.
After a few minutes, we looked up and they were landing in the field. Our only guess is they were finishing a race because they were throwing a ‘key’ into the field before landing. Avery got scared because one came right over our heads and it was pretty low.
We watched the last few land before heading home. We didn’t stay for the night glow…maybe next year.
On Sunday, we decided to take a long walk at the East End Park by our house.
It has a few trails that lead to the waterfront on Lake Houston.
Kendall rode in the backpack for the first time!
We took a few breaks to enjoy being outside.
Kyle and I were amazed at some of the trees.
Fresh air is always relaxing.
